Do you remember the old days when you had to type in long voucher codes?
Good news. The days of typing are over. Now you can use our app and your phone's camera to scan your SIM activation code or any vouchers you have. Get in.
We also eliminated a few of those pesky bugs floating around.
We're not saying Batman is a giffgaff member, but if he were, he'd love this update. That's right, we're introducing dark mode on the giffgaff app. Whether you want to save battery life, make things easier on your eyes or you just think it looks cooler, now you can switch things up and turn on dark mode.
Bugs beware. We’ve been eliminating all the gremlins that managed to sneak in. As well as the bug busting we’ve updated a few bits here and there, including some improvements to WiFi Extra. Outstanding.
With our wonderful members in mind we’ve streamlined the app a touch and swipe. Now all your account info will be in one place under, you guessed it, Account. And helpful stuff like Community, Payback and Invite a friend all fit nicely into Extras. Everything in its place. Beautiful.
It's no joke how annoying it can be when you can't get what you need when you need it. So we understand it must've been frustrating for Android 11 users who weren't able to set up WiFi Extra automatically. That's why we've come up with step-by-step instructions for how to do it old-school, we mean manually, on your phone. We also fixed broken WiFi Extra issues on Android 10. As for all the rest of you lovely giffgaff folk, we hope you love the new, lighter visual style of the app. Over and out.
We don’t know about you, but we’ve been really busy lately. Seriously. The fruits of our hard graft are a new, better way of displaying our smashing range of goodybags. Now it’s easier for you to choose which one works best for you when you’re activating or buying a goodybag on the app.
Oh yeah, we can’t forget the brand new £35 golden goodybag that we’ve just launched. It’s sparkling and comes with unlimited data and we’re, like, really excited about it.

We’ve made some performance improvements here and a few enhancements there. So you can expect the app to run like someone who runs really fast and really gracefully. Or like a magnificent gazelle. Or like a… No really, we’ll stop now.
Wouldn’t life be easier if you could buy a goodybag with a voucher? Well guess what, that’s exactly what you can do. Now you can choose between card, PayPal, credit or voucher when making a purchase. The sky’s the limit.
At the request of our marvellous members we've made the app dashboard 32% more hip and 19% more fly. In short, no more swiping to see your next goodybag as it will now appear below your current one. Radical.
